Yankee Stadium is home of the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball. Yankee Stadium opened in 2009. It hosted two games of the NHL Stadium Series on January 26 and 29, 2014. The first game had the New Jersey Devils hosting the New York Rangers. The second game had the New York Islanders hosting the New York Rangers. Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and Soldier Field in Chicago hosted the other two games of the 2014 series. The Rangers were the visiting team in both games as the Rangers lease with Madison Square Garden prohibits the team from playing home games in other venues in New York City.
