Windsor Lancers

"Lancers" is the name of the sports teams of the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario. They are members of Ontario University Athletics (OUA) and Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS).

History

The Windsor Lancers hockey team competed in the Ontario Intercollegiate Athletic Association (OIAA) from 1964-65 until 1967-68 and then in the Quebec-Ontario Athletic Association from 1968-69 until the conference ended in 1970-71. In 1971-72 they joined the Ontario Universities Athletic Association (OUAA) once the Ontario and Quebec conferences were re-organized along provincial lines.

In the 1930s, as Assumption College, the school competed for the Sutherland Cup.
