The Wiarton Wolves were a Canadian Junior ice hockey team that was based in Wiarton, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Western Junior C Hockey League.

HistoryEdit

The Wolves' goaltender in their inaugural season was current NHL St. Louis Blues player Curtis Sanford. Other players from the Wolves inaugural season include Troy Barfoot, Mike Corbett, Mike Morris, Trevor Brennan, Jeff Cook, Andrew Hunsberger, Kris Seamon, Dylan Lisk, Trevor Bast, Chris Minard, Ed Garinger, and Ron Campbell. Justin Loder played there for half a season

After expanding in 1994 with the Kincardine Bulldogs, the Wolves struggled for eleven seasons before finally "packing it in" in 2003. The Wolves never had the chance to celebrate a winning season, but their best season came in 1998-99. The Wolves were competitive and even created a future NHLer in Curtis Sanford.
