Wendell Young (born August 1, 1963 in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a retired Canadian professional goaltender.

Playing career[]

Wendell played for the Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League. Wendell is the only hockey player to have won a Memorial Cup (in 1982 with the Kitchener Rangers), a Calder Cup (with the 1988 Hershey Bears), a Turner Cup (with the 1998 and 2000 Chicago Wolves), and a Stanley Cup (with the 1991 and 1992 Penguins). He also has 2 Robertson Cups with the Kitchener Rangers as Ontario Hockey League Champions in 1981 and 1982.

He played in a total of 187 NHL games with a 59-86-12 record.

In 1987-88 Young won the Aldege "Baz" Bastien Memorial Award and the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy while playing for the Hershey Bears
