The Waterford Lakers were a Tier II Junior "A" team based in Waterford Township, Michigan. The team played in the Great Lakes Junior Hockey League. The team relocated to Melvindale, Michigan for the 1982-83 season and were renamed the Melvindale Lakers. The team then folded prior to the start of the 1983-84 season.
