Warren Godfrey (March 23, 1931 in Toronto, Ontario – April 5 1997) was a professional Canadian ice hockey defenceman.
Godfrey began his National Hockey League career with the Boston Bruins in 1952. He spent the majority of his career with the Detroit Red Wings.
He played junior with the Galt Red Wings and the Waterloo Hurricanes before joining the Bruins. He played three full seasons with them and then was traded to the Red Wings in the Terry Sawchuk trade in 1955.
He played 7 full seasons with the Wings and was reaccquired by the Bruins in 1962. Godfrey played only one season with Boston before being traded back to Detroit.
After this trade, Godfrey spent most of his time in the minor pros with only occasional callups to Detroit. He retired in 1969.
