The Vancouver Ramblers were the very first hockey team from Vancouver to play in an organized hockey league in the British Columbia Lower mainland area circa 1899. The Vancouver Rambler's name was influenced by the new Rambler bike at the time. In the inaugural Pacific League season, the Ramblers played only two games as the ice melted around Vancouver and on the Frazer River cutting the season short. This was thirteen years before Denman Arena opened its doors.

Later the Vancouver Ramblers were a senior team.

In 1918-19 they were organized very hurriedly by the teams of the Vancouver Commercial League. The Ramblers challenged the Vancouver Towers which were the only registered senior team in the city.

However, Commercial League commitments kept the Ramblers from finishing the series with the Towers and the Ramblers defaulted the series.
