The UPEI Panthers women's ice hockey program represents the University of Prince Edward Island in Atlantic University Sport conference play. In 2012, the Panthers claimed their first AUS tournament victory.


The Panthers qualified for the 2012 CIS Women’s Ice Hockey Championship after winning the AUS championship. Despite finishing fourth in the conference standings with a 13-10-1 mark, the Panthers upset top ranked St. Francis Xavier X-Women by a 2-1 tally to win their pool in the AUS Playoffs. In the gold medal final, the Panthers blanked Mount Allison by a 3-0 tally to claim their first title. The goals were scored by Christina Kelly , and Kelsey O’Donnell, as Kelly was named Player of the Game.[1] Tournament Most Valuable Player Kristy Dobson stopped 55 of 56 pucks fired her way in the two wins.[2]
