The Trine Thunder are men's and women's ice hockey teams that represent Trine University located in Angola, Indiana.  Both programs will commence with NCAA Division III play for the 2017-18 season. The teams will be based out of the Thunder Ice Arena.  The teams came into existence as a result of donations to the school for several capital projects.  The school is also adding a men's club team that will play in the American Collegiate Hockey Association's DII.

The men's program will be coached by Alex Todd who has previously been an assistant with several collegiate teams across the country after he played professionally in the West Coast Hockey League and the Central Hockey League. For more detail please see Trine Thunder men's ice hockey.
