The Town and Country "C" Hockey League was formed in December 1971 and incorporated in 1974 to promote hockey in the area of Alberta from Airdrie to Penhold, including the towns of Bowden, Olds, Carstairs and Crossfield. The objectives of the League were to promote and encourage minor hockey, to establish and maintain uniform playing rules, and to establish organized league games and play-offs. It operated until the end of the 1981-1982 season when most of its teams registered with the Central Alberta League. A decision to disband was made in 1985.
