The Toronto Non-Contact Hockey League (TNCHL), is a minor level ice hockey league in Toronto, Canada.  The league was formed in 2009 by 5 parents one of which is Neil Clifford, after his child Phoenix suffered three concussions from hitting in a hockey game in the Greater Toronto Hockey League, which allows hitting from age 11 onwards.  The league has stirred up some amount of controversy.
The league is being considered as "outlawed" by Hockey Canada, the governing council of ice hockey in Canada. 
The first tryouts for the TNCHL was held on April 13, 2009, where 25 skaters showed up.  The league operates with 3 teams in its first year and are preparing to expand to 8 teams for the 2010-11 second year.
