A group of devoted UND students fans in the late 1970s and early 80s, The Farce helped make North Dakota's Winter Sports Center one of the most difficult venues to play in the country. Known for their bright yellow construction helmets topped by goal lights, The Farce were an important part of North Dakota's reemergence as a hockey power. The Farce had a variety of chants and cheers to throw off the opposition and even had a bicycle zamboni (a photo of which is immortalized in the halls of Ralph Engelstad Arena.) The mascot of The Farce was Kermit the Frog and the group had a catchphrase - "Kermit's luck guides our puck."
