Stan Bowman (born June 1973) is the current General Manager of the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League.

Early lifeEdit

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Bowman graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1995 with degrees in Finance and Computer Applications.[1]

ProfessionalEdit

Bowman joined the Chicago Blackhawks in 2001 as a special assistant to the General Manager for four seasons. For the next two years, he would serve as the Direct of Hockey Operations. Afterwards, Bowman was promoted to Assistant General Manager, Hockey Operations.[2]

On July 14, 2009[3], Bowman replaced Dale Tallon to become the ninth General Manager in Chicago Blackhawks history. Bowman stepped into the role following three years as a special assistant to the General Manager for the club.

Personal lifeEdit

Bowman is the son of Hockey Hall of Fame member, and current senior advisor for the Blackhawks, Scotty Bowman.
