The St. John's Senators were a Canadian Junior "A" ice hockey team from St. John's College in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They were members of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL). St. John's College is one of four colleges that started the University of Manitoba. During the Senators only season, St. John's College and the University of Manitoba disagreed on the use of non U of M students. St. John's refused to comply with the University's wishes, continuing to dress the 2 players in question. However the Team vowed to register outside U of M jurisdiction for the following year. And they did actually that, becoming the Winnipeg Rangers for 1934-35.
