The Shearwater Flyers were a senior team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
They were made up of players from the Royal Canadian Navy's Fleet Air Arm based in Halifax. At the time, the navy had an aircraft carrier (HMCS Bonaventure). The Flyers played in the Maritimes Armed Forces League for three seasons (1956-58) and then for one season in the Nova Scotia Senior Hockey League in 1958-59.
They won the Armed Forces League in 1957-58 and then lost the semi final of the 1957-58 Maritimes Senior Playoffs.
