Sandyfitzpatrick

Alexander Stewart "Sandy" Fitzpatrick (born December 22, 1944 in Paisley, Scotland) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played 22 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the New York Rangers and Minnesota North Stars.

He played junior hockey for the Guelph Royals. and after they moved, the Kitchener Rangers from 1961 to 1965. Both were New York Rangers' farm teams. In 1964-65 he scored 51 goals and 55 assists and earned a four game callup to New York. Fitzpatrick turned pro with the Minnesota Rangers in 1965-66 and the Omaha Knights in 1966-67.

The Minnesota North Stars claimed him in the 1967 NHL Expansion Draft. Fitzpatrick started the season with the Memphis South Stars and was called up to the NHL at the end of the season. He played in 18 North Stars' games, scoring 3 goals and 6 assists, and in 12 playoff games with no scoring.

Fitzpatrick played one more season in Memphis and then joined the San Diego Gulls in 1969. After three seasons with the Gulls Fitzpatrick retired in 1972.
