The Salve Regina Seahawks are a Women's Division III team in the New England Hockey Conference and a Men's Division III team in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The men's program is based out of the Portsmouth Abbey Ice Rink in Portsmouth, Rhode Island while the women's program is based out of the St. George's School Ice Rink in Middletown, Rhode Island.
Men's Program
The men's club program was established for the 1983-84 season and it was elevated to a varsity program that was established for the 1997-98 season. The team played in the ECAC North for the 1997-98 season. The conference was then merged in to the ECAC Northeast. They played in the ECAC Northeast from 1998 until the conference was renamed to the Commonwealth Coast Conference for the 2016-17 season. The team has won one conference tournament title in 2016. The team has made one NCAA tournament appearance in 2016 losing in the first round 7-1 to the Geneseo Ice Knights .
