Rockytrottier

Rocky Trottier (born April 11, 1964 in Climax, Saskatchewan) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played 38 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the New Jersey Devils, who drafted him 8th overall in 1982. He is the younger brother of Bryan Trottier.

He played major junior hockey with the Saskatoon Blades, Nanaimo Clippers, Billings Bighorns, and the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Trottier played in only 38 NHL games and scored 6 goals and 4 assists.

In the Devils' 5-2 win at the Izod Center (then known as the Brendan Byrne Arena) on December 17, 1984, Rocky scored on a penalty shot against Edmonton Oilers's goaltender Andy Moog; it was the first penalty shot attempt in the Devils' franchise history.
