Riley Sheahan is a Canadian ice hockey center who currently plays for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).[1] He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the first round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft (21st overall).[2]

Playing CareerEdit

Junior HockeyEdit

Sheahan played Junior B ice hockey in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League with the St. Catharines Falcons. Sheahan collected 49 goals and 85 assists over two seasons with the Falcons. [3]

College HockeyEdit

Following the two season in St. Catharines Sheahan decided to forgo major junior hockey with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League to play NCAA Division I college ice hockey with the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA)[4]
