The 141st Battalion of the Canadian Army was recruited in 1916 in the area of Fort Frances in Northwestern Ontario. It was shipped overseas in 1917.
In 1916-17 it was based in Port Arthur and entered a senior team that won the Thunder Bay Senior Championship.
The team then lost an Allan Cup Challenge to the Winnipeg Victorias.
