Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins are a professional ice hockey team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and are the current Stanley Cup champions. They are members of the National Hockey League. Founded in 1967 as one of the 6 expansion teams of the 1967 NHL Expansion, the team has won three Stanley Cups, in 1991, 1992 and 2009. In 2009 they won against the Detroit Red Wings, the team that they had lost to the previous year. 

The team, who was in the past led by superstars Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr, is now led by talented young players like Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.
