Per Gustafsson (b. June 4th 1970 in Oskarshamn, Sweden) is a professional defenseman who plays in the Elitserien for HV 71.

A good two-way defenseman, Gustafsson was drafted to the National Hockey League by the Florida Panthers, 261st overall of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He would however only play two seasons in the NHL, 1996-97 and 1997-98, with the Panthers, the St. John's Maple Leafs, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators before returning in Sweden, joining HV 71, with whom he had begun his professional career in 1988-89.

On September 28th 2006, Gustafsson played his 657th game in the HV 71's uniform, thus breaking the record of 656 that belonged to Fredrik Stillman. He also owns the Elitserien record for the fastest goal, scored in 1991-92 against Luleå HF a mere 6 seconds into the game.

He won the playoffs in 1995 and 2005, was named to the Swedish All-Star Team in 1996 and 2004 and took part in the Elitserien All-Star Game twice, in 2000 and 2001. He was also a silver medalist with the Swedish National Team at the 2003 World Championship.
