Pembroke, otherwise known as Hockey Town, is a town of about 14,000 people in the western Ottawa Valley in Ontario.
There have been several Lumber Kings teams in history. There was a junior team in the 1930's and 1940's; a junior team from the 1960's to the present day; a senior team from 1898 to 1935; and a senior team from 1946-61.

In 1945-46, 1947-48, & 1948-49 the Lumber Kings played in a two team Upper Ottawa Valley League with a team from Renfrew. Each year they played a league final against Renfrew.
They won the final in 1945-46 and 1948-49.
They lost the final in 1947-48.

They were the Ottawa District Senior Hockey Champions in 1945-46, 1948-49, & 1951-52. Each year they went on to the Eastern Canada Allan Cup Playoffs.
