Patric Gösta Hörnqvist (born 1 January, 1987) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player. Drafted by the Nashville Predators with the very last pick (230th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Hörnqvist scored 41 goals in his last two seasons for Djurgårdens IF of the Swedish Elitserien, prompting the Predators to bring him to the NHL for the 2008–09 NHL season. However, he struggled and was assigned to their minor league affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL), where he spent most of the year.

With the 2009-2010 NHL season came another opportunity. Hornqvist made the Nashville Predators' roster and made an impression early. He should be a full-time National Hockey League player this season, or, at the very latest, in 2010-2011. Hörnqvist projects as a shifty top-six forward able to produce offense for his National Hockey League team.

He scored his first NHL goal on October 15, 2008 against Marty Turco of the Dallas Stars.
