The Pacific Southwest Hockey League was a semi-professional ice hockey league that operated in California, Nevada and Alaska starting in 1970 and ran through 1995, when its members were incorporated into the upstart professional West Coast Hockey League.

The League's focusEdit

The PSHL largely centered around the Fresno Falcons and at times throughout the league's history all league games, whether they involved the Falcons or not, were held at Fresno's Selland Arena.

The PSHL's players were largely unpaid; the league was composed largely of "weekend warriors" with limited or no professional hockey background.
