Ottawa City & District Junior LeagueEdit

1939-40 Season

HistoryEdit

The Perth Blue Wings had played in the Little Big Four League in 1938-39 and then won the Ottawa District Junior Championship.

The Little Big Four League was not repeated in 1939-40 and Perth was looking for a league to play in. The Ottawa City Junior League. the strongest league in the District. was not interested in a team from out of town.

A league was put together of some of the second tier teams in the Ottawa City area with Perth. They wanted some of the prestige in playing with the defending champion.

The league was not repeated after this one season.. World War II was already raging and personnel shortages were evident.
