The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) is the governing body for collefiate sports in Ontario. The OCAA is separate from Ontario University Athletics (the OUA), which is affiliated with the CIS. The OCAA's Men's Hockey League ran from 1967 until 2004 when it ran out of viable teams. The OCAA's Women's Hockey League ran a brief time in the 1970s and 80s.

History

The OCAA is affiliated with the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA), the second tier of university/college sport in Canada. The CCAA has not held a national hockey playoff since 2001. The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is currently the only college league in Canada. However, the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) includes college teams.

The last surviving OCAA team was the St. Clair Saints. After the OCAA folded its men's hockey league, the Saitns continued to play an independent schedule for two seasons followed by two seasons in Ontario's Senior AAA Major League Hockey. The team folded after the 2007-08 season.
