Nicole Gifford (born October 8, 1992) is an ice hockey player for the New Hampshire Wildcats. Previously, she competed for the Mississauga Jr. Chiefs of the PWHL. Her early playing career with the Peterborough Jr. Petes was the subject of a book titled Whose Puck Is It, Anyway?

Playing careerEdit

On February 11, 2011, Gifford had the first multi-point game of her career (one goal, one assist) in a 4-2 loss to the Vermont Catamounts.[1] During the 2010-11 season, Gifford accumulated 7 points (5 goals, 2 assists) in 31 games played with the Wildcats.[2] On November 26, 2011, Gifford scored the first hat trick of her career[3] as the Wildcats defeated the Princeton Tigers by a 3-1 mark.

Hockey CanadaEdit

Gifford was invitied to the 2009 Team Canada Under 18 Selection Camp. In a March 24, 2010 contest versus the Canadian National Under 18 Women’s Team, Gifford played for the OWHA All-Stars. She would assist on the game winning goal as the OWHA All-Stars defeated the Under 18 team by a 3-2 tally. [4]

  • Runner-Up, Hockey East Player of the Month (Month of November 2011)[5]
  • Gold medalist with the 2010 Team Ontario Under-18 Red Team
  • Bronze medal at Provincials with the 2009-10 Jr. Chiefs
  • Also skated for the 2009 Team Ontario Under-18 Blue Team
