John Nicholas "Nick" Egan (February 9, 1993 - August 9, 2014) was an American ice hockey defenceman who played for the Philadelphia Revolution of the EJHL, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the QMJHL, and at the time of his death he was playing for the Estevan Bruins.
Playing career Edit
Egan started his playing career in the EJHL with the Philadelphia Revolution in the 2011-12 season. He played 19 games, scored 1 goal, and got 4 assists, giving him four points. He also earned 10 penalty minutes that season.
In that same season he also played with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the QMJHL. He earned 3 assists, along with 20 penalty minutes, with 13 games played in the QMJHL.
In the 2012-13 season Egan played with the Estevan Bruins and the Philadelphia Revolution, scoring 1 assist in 14 games with the Estevan Bruins. With the Philidelphia Revolution Egan scored 1 goal and 3 assists with 4 points scored in 31 games.
In the 2013-14 season Egan played 34 games with the Estevan Bruins, scoring 4 goals, and earning 13 assists with 17 points altogether.
On August 9, 2014 Egan passed away at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly, New Jersey, a suburb of eastern Philadelphia and a township of Burlington County, New Jersey of a suspected heart attack.
