Neil Strain (born February 24, 1926 in Kenora, Ontario ) was a professional ice hockey player who played 52 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the New York Rangers.

He played junior hockey for the Portage la Prairie Terriers and turned pro with the Valleyfield Braves of the Quebec Senior Hockey League in 1947-48. Strain played five more seasons of minor pro until 1952-53, when he got a chance with the New York Rangers. He scored 11 goals and 13 assists in 52 games.

He was sent down to the Edmonton Flyers in 1953-54 and retired 8 games into the season.
