The Navy Midshipmen is the name of the athletic teams representing the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The teams are based out of the McMullen Hockey Arena which is located on the campus.
The academy presently offers men's club and women's club hockey currently competing as a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association level in the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association (men) and the Eastern Collegiate Women's Hockey League (women).
The building of the McMullen Hockey Arena which was built to NCAA standards speculation is that an NCAA Men's Division I program could be announced over the next few years which could easily fit in to the Atlantic Hockey Association as a twelfth member as the conference already is home to the Army Black Knights and Air Force Falcons men's hockey programs. The ice sheet is 200' by 98' and it has seating for 1,000 but is expandable to 3,000.
