Mike McBain (born January 12, 1977 in Kimberley, British Columbia) was a professional defenceman and assistant coach for the Las Vegas Wranglers. He is now an on-ice official in the ECHL.

Mike is the younger brother of former NHLer Jason McBain and played 64 games in the National Hockey League with the Tampa Bay Lightning. McBain became the second captain of the Las Vegas Wranglers in 2005 after his brother, the prior captain, retired from professional hockey after the 2004-05 season.

McBain retired from professional hockey after an injury shortened 2007-08 season in which he was only able to compete in two games. McBain would retire as the franchise record holder in games played, with 258 over five seasons. In 2008, McBain was named assistant coach to head coach Glen Gulutzan, replacing former assistant Brent Bilodeau, who left the Wranglers for a head coaching position with the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League.
