Meaghan Mangene has competed for the United States national women’s ice hockey team in numerous tournaments, including the 2010 Four Nations Cup. When not competing for the US team, she plays for the Boston College Eagles women’s ice hockey program.

Playing careerEdit

Mangene established herself by playing on an all-boys team. By the age of 15, she won a gold medal on the first ever U-18 Women’s team. [1] In Michigan, Mangene competed for the Little Caesar's Under19 team and served as assistant captain.


Her 14 assists during the 2011-12 season led all Eagles defenders. Among all Hockey East defenders, she was sixth overall in scoring. On August 21, 2012, Meagan Mangene was appointed assistant captain for the 2012–13 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season.[2]

USA HockeyEdit

Mangene participated in the first three U18 World Championship tournaments. She has won two gold medals (2008, 2009) and one silver (2010). At the 2010 tournament, she was the captain for Team USA. In August 2010, Mangene was the youngest player on the Over-22 team at the USA Hockey Women's National Festival[3]On December 9, 2010, Meagan Mangene was among forty players that were invited to try out for the United States National Women's ice hockey team.[4]
