Marlene Boissonnault (born January 14, 1997) is a women's ice hockey player that has competed for the Canadian National Women's Under 18 team. Of note, she would capture a silver medal with Canada at the 2015 IIHF U18 Women's Worlds[1].
Playing career
During the 2010-11 season, Boissonnault participated with the Dalhousie Rangers boys team. With the team, she would earn an Esso Medal of Achivement. As a member of the Northern Stars (Midget AAA), she captured a gold medal at the 2011 New Brunswick provincials. With Rothesay Netherwood School, she competed in the 2013 and 2014 editions of the Female World Sport School Challenge. As a member of Team New Brunswick, she competed at the Atlantic Challenge Cup five times. At the Under-15 level, she would capture two gold medals (2009, 2010) and a bronze medal (2011). Graduating to the Under-17 level, she would claim the gold in 2012, while following it up with a bronze in 2013.
Hockey Canada
As the starting goaltender for Canada in the gold medal game of the 2015 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championships, Boissonnault registered 38 saves in an overtime loss to the United States.[2]
