</div></div> Marek Mazanec (born July 18, 1991) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently playing for the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL) whilst under contract to the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Mazanec was selected by the Predators in the 6th round (179th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing careerEdit

Mazanec played in the junior age for IHC Písek, where at 14 he moved to Plzeň, where he continued his junior, junior and since the 2009-10 season among adults in the Czech Extraliga.[1]

On May 3, 2013, the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League signed Mazanec to a two-year entry-level contract.[2] He began the 2013-14 season with the Predators' American Hockey League affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals.

On November 8, 2013, Mazanec made his NHL debut with the Nashville Predators, playing 51:37 and allowing two goals on 24 shots after replacing starter Carter Hutton in a game against the Winnipeg Jets.[3] After 10 games with the Predators he posted a .932 save percentage and was named NHL Rookie of the month for November.[4]
