Marcel Comeau (born March 1, 1952 in (Ponoka, Alberta) was a Canadian ice hockey centre and coach. He was the Director, Amateur Scoutingis then moved on to be the head scout of the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League. Marcel moved with the thrashers to Winnipeg and is now the Director, Amateur Scouting for the Jets.

He played junior hockey for the Edmonton Oil Kings and was chosen 148th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft.

Comeau spent his entire pro career (except for a playoff series with the Maine Mariners in 1982-83) with the Saginaw Gears of the International Hockey League (IHL). In 1980-81 he won the James Gatschene Memorial Trophy as the most valuable player and the Leo P. Lamoureux Memorial Trophy as the leading scorer in the IHL. He retired in 1983.

He was the player-coach of the Gears in 1982-83. After retiring, he became the head coach of the junior Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 1984 and held the job until 1989. He won the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy as the WHL coach of the year in 1987-88.

Comeau was coach of the New Haven Nighthawks of the American Hockey League in 1989-90. He started out with that job in 1990-91 but was let go and finished the season as coach of the Winston-Salem Thunderbirds of the ECHL.

In 1991-92 he took over as coach of the Tacoma Rockets. He kept the job until 1996, coaching the Kelowna Rockets (where the Tacoma team moved to) in 1995-96. He won the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy in 1992-93 and also won the Brian Kilrea Coach of the Year Award that year as coach of the year in the Canadian Hockey League.

Comeau also coached on the international scene. He won gold medals with the Canadian teams in the 1994 IIHF Under 18 Championship and the 1996 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

He joined the expansion NHL Atlanta Thrashers as a part-time scout in 1999. In 2000 he became a full-time scout and in 2003 was promoted to head scout.
