The Manitoba Maple Leafs are a women's ice hockey team in the Western Women's Hockey League. The team joined the WWHL on June 5, 2010.[1] Its team president is Bryon Stephen. The franchise is in partnership with the Winnipeg Métis Federation to provide an opportunity to particiate in ice hockey for players from all ethnic back grounds.[2] The first head coach in franchise history was Jill Mathez.[3]

Starting in April 2011, the club will host the Manitoba Maple Leafs Cup. It is a female ice hockey tournament that will raise proceeds for charity.[4] The tournament will be played at MTS Iceplex in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
