Kyle Charles Palmieri (born February 1, 1991) is an American ice hockey right winger/center who currently plays for the Syracuse Crunch, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks.

Playing career

Palmieri attended Saint Peter's Prep in Jersey City, New Jersey for two years before moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan to go to Pioneer High School.[1] Prior to turning professional Palmieri played college hockey for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Palmieri was born in Smithtown, New York and calls Montvale, New Jersey home. In the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Palmieri was taken 26th overall by the Anaheim Ducks.[2]

During the 2010–11 season, on November 3, 2010, the Anaheim Ducks recalled Palmieri from the AHL's Syracuse Crunch so he could make his NHL debut in a home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.[3] Palmieri would go in to score his first NHL goal in that game against Dan Ellis.[4]

Palmieri, who began his second professional season by scoring six points in his first two games of the 2011–12 AHL season, including a hat trick, to lead the Syracuse Crunch to victories, was named the AHL Player of the Week for the period ending October 16, 2011.[5]
