Kiarash Amamre 'Roach' Nikpour is a former Iranian ice hockey player. He is currently on personal leave from the Iranian National Ice Hockey Team, where he is coaching.

Career Edit

Nikpour began playing hockey at the age of 12 when he moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. At 12 years old, he began to go to hockey games with fellow Iranian coach, Dustin 'Duotimes' Kalimbaba. After injuring his knee whilst trying out for the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL, Nikpour turned to coaching his home country. Since Nikpour began coaching Iran, they have climbed from 121st ranked hockey country to 81st, according to Molokay International Ice Hockey Chart. 5 years later, 'Duotimes' Kalimbaba passed away and Kiarash showed interest in cycling. He and his teammate Jack Zhang hold the record for the youngest person to bike 130 km in one day in Newbrunswick.
