Kevin Maxwell (Born - March 30, 1960 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey forward who played 49 games in the National Hockey League for the Colorado Rockies, Minnesota North Stars, and New Jersey Devils.

Maxwell played junior for the Penticton Vees and then for the University of North Dakota in 1978-79. He was chosen 63rd overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft.

In 1979-80 he played for the Canada national men's ice hockey team at the 1980 Olympics.

Maxwell turned pro in 1980-81 with the North Stars but spent most of the year with the Oklahoma City Stars. He did play in 16 playoff games for the Stars, scoring 3 goals and 4 assists. In the middle of the 1981-82 season Maxwell was traded to the Colorado Rockies. He got into 34 games with the Rockies that year and 14 with their successor team the New Jersey Devils in 1982-83.

After that season Maxwell played in the American Hockey League until he retired in 1988.

In his NHL career, Maxwell played in 66 games and scored 6 goals and 15 assists.

After playing, Maxwell scouted for the Dallas Stars, New York Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers.
