Kevin MacDonald (born 24 February 1966 in Prescott, Ontario) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman who played one game in the NHL with the Ottawa Senators during the 1993–94 NHL season. He was known as a tough hitter and an enforcer.

He played Tier II Junior "A" with the Brockville Braves in 1982-83 and then played major junior with the Belleville Bulls, Sudbury Wolves, and the Peterborough Petes from 1983 to 1987. Undrafted by the NHL, MacDonald spent a year at St. Thomas University in 1987-88.

In 1988-89 MacDonald turned pro with the Muskegon Lumberjacks. The Edmonton Oilers signed him as a free agent in 1990 but he saw no NHL action. That finally happened in 1993-94 when he signed as a free agent with the Ottawa Senators and played in a game, scoring no points.

MacDonald played in the minor pros until he retired in 1998.

CoachingEdit

He was the playing-coach of the Baton Rouge Kingfish in 1997-98 and then was an assistant coach of the Hershey Bears during that season's playoffs.

Following his playing career MacDonald spent three seasons (1998-2001) as the head coach of the Bakersfield Condors in the WCHL.
