Ken "Friar" Nicolson

started broadcasting career in 1960... named sports director at CJOB in 1969... became the original voice of the Winnipeg Jets in 1972 with the WHA Jets... moved to CKY in 1982 and did NHL colour commentary... celebrated his 1,000 game of broadcasting pro hockey games in 1982... named to the Manitoba Sportswriters and Sportscasters Media Roll of Honour.
