Reinhold Jean "Johnny" Matz (June 6 1891 – December 21, 1969) was an American ice hockey winger who played one season in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens. He was born in Casper, Wyoming.
He played senior hockey in Edmonton for the Edmonton Dominions, Edmonton YMCA, and Edmonton Maritimers from 1911 to 1913. Matz then moved to British Columbia and played senior hockey and one game for the Vancouver Millionaires in 1914-15, winning the Stanley Cup.
In 1919 Matz returned to hockey with the Edmonton Hustlers and the Dominions of the Alberta Big Four League from 1919 to 1921. He then moved to the newly-formed Western Canada Hockey League for three seasons. The Saskatoon Crescents sold him to the Montreal Canadiens in 1924.
He played the 1924-25 season for Montreal, scoring 2 goals and 3 assists in 30 games.
