Gold 1928 St. Moritz Team Competition

John Chester "Red" Porter (January 21, 1904 – c. 1990) was a Canadian ice hockey player who competed in the 1928 Winter Olympics. In 1928 he was the captain of the Toronto Varsity Grads, the Canadian team which won the gold medal.

He played junior hockey for the University of Toronto and the University of Toronto Schools. He won the Allan Cup in 1927 with the Varsity Grads.

After the Olympics he was the coach of the University of Toronto for three years from 1928-31.
