John Paul Evans, better known as Paul Evans, (born May 2, 1954) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey centre who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Philadelphia Flyers.

He played junior hockey for the Kitchener Rangers, scoring 50 goals and 62 assists in his final year in 1973-74. Evans was selected 84th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft.

His first four pro seasons were spent in the Kings' farm system. Despite good numbers, Evans never got a chance to play for the Kings. A trade in mid-season 1977-78 to the Philadelphia Flyers gave him a second wind.

He played 44 games for the Flyers and scored 6 goals and 5 assists. The next season he returned to the minors. A second chance in the NHL in 1982-83 got him 8 goals and 20 assists in 58 games with the Flyers.

Evans played two more seasons of minor pro and then retired in 1985.
