Joey Johnston (b. March 3rd 1949 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada) is a former professional forward who played in the National Hockey League for the Minnesota North Stars, the California Golden Seals and the Chicago Blackhawks.

Johnston was captain of the Seals for two seasons before being traded to the Hawks for Jim Pappin and a draft pick in the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft in 1975.
