Joel Broda (born November 24, 1989 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian centre playing in the Minnesota Wild system.

He played major junior for the Tri City Americans, Moose Jaw Warriors, and the Calgary Hitmen from 2004 to 2010. The Hitmen won the Western Hockey League championship in 2009-10.

He was drafted 144th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft but was not signed by the Caps in the two-year period. He therefore became a free agent in 2010.

In 2010 Broda signed a contract with the Salzburg Red Bulls in Austria. The contract had an opt-out clause if an NHL team signed him. The Minnesota Wild did just that (to a three-year contract) and he attended their training camp.
