Joseph Christopher Day (born May 11, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois) is a retired American ice hockey center.

He played 72 games in the NHL for the Hartford Whalers and New York Islanders from 1991 to 1994. Day scored a goal and ten assists.

Day played for St. Lawrence University from 1986 to 1990. The Whalers chose him 186th overall in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.

He retired in 1998. In 2003-04 he made a brief comeback as a player while an assistant coach with the Muskegon Fury.
