Jim Sonerson
played on the left wing for New South Wales in the 1950 Goodall Cup Jim Sonerson, at 17 years of age became the youngest player to represent N.S.W.and at the time captained the Glebe Bullets.

The match was held at the St. Moritz Ice Rink at St. Kilda, Melbourne with Jim Sonerson scoring the winning goal.

Sonerson was also an accomplished speed skater winning N.S.W. & Australian titles.

Pictured jumpng fallen team mate Gordon Kent during Goodall Cup match and wearing new tube skates purchased from Ken Kennedys  shop in Melbourne the day before.

Note the lack of helmets which did not come in for many years.
