Jim Pettie (born October 24, 1953 in Toronto, Ontario) is a retired professional ice hockey goaltender who played 21 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the Boston Bruins.

He played junior hockey for the St. Catharines Black Hawks in 1972-73. The Boston Bruins chose him 142nd overall in the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft. He played three seasons for the Dayton Gems before getting a chance with the Bruins. Pettie played one game in 1976-77, one in 1977-78, and 19 in 1978-79.

Pettie retired in 1981.
